Cristina Abaroa, 2-Time Latin GRAMMY® Winner, 4-Time Latin GRAMMY® nominee, singer-songwriter, and music producer.

Cristina Abaroa is an acclaimed music producer, singer-songwriter, and founder of Moon Moosic, a renowned production company based in Los Angeles. Born in Mexico City into a family of artists and music industry executives, Abaroa’s passion for music was evident from a young page. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from Berklee College of Music, specializing in arranging.

As a Latin GRAMMY®-winning artist, Cristina (Chapis) is celebrated for her groundbreaking work on Danilo & Chapis, a children’s music project co-created with her brother Alejandro (Danilo). The project has earned two consecutive Latin GRAMMY® Awards in the Best Children’s Album category for ¡A Cantar! (2024) and Vamos Al Zoo (2023), along with additional nominations for Danilo & Chapis Vol. 1 (2021) and Danilo & Chapis Vol. 2 (2022).

As a singer-songwriter, Abaroa has independently released three albums: Studio Sessions (2022), Pintor de Ilusiones (2004), and Cristina (2000). Her productions seamlessly blend vibrant Latin American, Mexican, and Spanish rhythms. Her songs span various genres and are distinguished by heartfelt lyrics and imaginative narratives.

Her extensive catalog of compositions includes iconic works for popular children’s television series such as: "Cómplices al Rescate," "Alegrijes y Rebujos," "Amigos x Siempre," "Aventuras en el Tiempo," "El Diario de Daniela," "Misión SOS," "Rayito de Luz," "El Club de Gaby," 3 seasons of "Código FAMA" and 5 seasons of Plaza Sésamo, the Mexican version of Sesame Street. Notably, her song “El Baile del Sapito” has garnered over 2.5 billion views on YouTube.

In addition to her Latin GRAMMY® wins, Cristina Abaroa has been recognized with the prestigious SACM 25-Year Career Award (2021) and the Berklee Alumni Achievement Award (2018). Her contributions to children’s music and entertainment continue inspiring and captivating audiences worldwide.
